Inspired by the vision of her ancestors, Andrea Sandmaier is a passionate leader who is committed to implementing the Métis Nation Constitution under the Otipemisiwak Métis Government. She follows in the footsteps of Audrey Poitras, who served as her mentor, and is dedicated to continuing the path to self-government and enhancing the lives of the Métis citizens within Alberta.
Andrea’s vision for the future is to prioritize Métis families by enhancing their socio-economic circumstance through better outcomes in health, housing, education, and social/restorative justice.
